For a Trustworthy AI?
A lot has happened this past year in the field of AI. The race towards the constant improvement of generative AI models has led, not only specialists, but the society at large to question our use of this technology and to what ends. Parallelly, the European institutions have been working on the EU Artificial Intelligence Act with the aim to ensure that Europeans can trust in what AI has to offer.
In this context TRAIL has decided to organise its annual event on the topic: Trustworthy AI, an aim which defines our DNA. We will be asking experts that are specialists in fields such as medicine, media, justice to present the transformational potential of AI in their domain of expertise. Furthermore, we will also touch upon the AI Act and what it implies for researchers working in “high-risk” AI sectors or for academic-industrial collaborations.
This event will take place in the presence of the Belgian Secretary of State for Digitalisation, Mr. Mathieu Michel, and the Walloon Minister for Research and Innovation, Mr. Willy Borsus; and will be followed by a drink.
